Soil Health Card Scheme is One of The Strongest Steps Taken by India to Assist The Farmers

Agriculture is the prime occupation in India. Majority of the Indian revenue comes from the surplus crops. Farmers all over India produced good quality crops. But often they face certain problems like a dip in soil quality. As we all know that dip in nutrient quantity and imbalances in the pH levels can harm crops by many folds.

The farmers can take a step ahead in making the soil more fertile by adding the needed fertilizers and making amendments in their farming techniques. Farmers are thus introduced with Soil Health Card Scheme. This scheme helps the farmer to detect the limitation of the soil and the type of soil they own in their lands. The Agricultural department of India measures the soil quality and maintains a chart which is derived out of the survey made on the soil. Thus the Soil Health Card Scheme was created. The health chart offers a report on the overall quality of the soil and the ways of improving it.
The farmers need to give an update to the authorities about the condition of the soil. The scheme offers renewal after 3 years. The farmers can still update the status of the soil condition and follow the expert recommendations they receive from the apex body. The government is planning to cover every part of India with this scheme.
